About the Department:
The Department of Bhoti Language and Literature was established keeping in mind the importance of Bhoti Language and Literature to the people of the Himalayan region. The Department aims to carry forward the legacy of the Nalanda study culture by continuously creating scope and environment for research scholars. On the literature front, the Department aims to impart education based on the rich Himalayan and Tibetan literature tradition.
