Senior Secondary School, Choglamsar, Leh
With the declaration of Central Institute of Buddhist Studies, Leh as Deemed to be University by the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India on 15th of January, 2016, the Junior Wing of this Institute got separated from its University Section and was named Senior Secondary School, CIBS, Leh. This Senior Secondary School runs as a separate constituent of the Central Institute of Buddhist Studies, Leh, Ladakh. This school runs classes from 6th to 12th and it is affiliated with the Board of Sampurnanand Sanskrit University, Varanasi, UP. In this school from class 9th to 12th some traditional courses (such as Wood Carving, Painting, Sculpture and Astrology) are also taught along with modern subjects. This school is different from other schools as most of the subjects are related to the Buddhist tradition such as Pali, Sanskrit Bauddh Darshan, Comparative Philosophy, Bhot Puranic History, Bhot Bauddh Darshan, Bhoti etc. Facilities such as stipend, library, computer lab, canteen, health and well being are available on the campus of the school.
