On the occasion of the screening of the film “RETURN TO LOCAL” on 26th May 2020, Director CIBS, Prof. Konchok Wangdu was invited as the guest speaker.
Return to the Local, a documentary film based on the conference on “Economics of Happiness” held in 2019 at CIBS Leh launched in Japan. The Economics of Happiness conference was organized by Juley Ladakh in collaboration with CIBS Leh and Ladakh Film House in September, 2019. On the occasion of the screening of the film on 26th May 2020, Director CIBS, Prof. Konchok Wangdu was invited as the guest speaker. Prof. Konchok Wangdu highlighted the importance of local traditions and their sustainability. The live webinar programme was attended by many people in Japan. The talk of Prof. Konchok Wangdu was translated into Japanese by Skarma Gyurmed, the director Juley Ladakh.
