Extension of Last Date for Admission Form – Academic Session 2026–27
EXTENSION OF LAST DATE FOR THE RECEIPT OF ADMISSION FORM
The Central Institute of Buddhist Studies (Deemed to be University), Choglamsar, Leh, Ladakh
has extended the last date for the receipt of Admission Form for new admission in the First Year
of different courses as per NEP-2020.
(A) Shastri (Bachelor of Arts) – Major Subjects:
- Bhot Baudh Darshan
- Bhoti Literature
- Bhot Puranic History
- Sanskrit Buddhist Philosophy
- Comparative Philosophy
- Sanskrit Literature
(B) Bachelor Courses:
- Bachelor of Fine Arts – Thangkha Painting
- Bachelor of Fine Arts – Himalayan Wood Carving
- Bachelor of Fine Arts – Himalayan Sculpture
- Bachelor of Bhot Astrology & Astronomy
(C) Acharya (Master of Arts):
- Bhot Baudh Darshan
- Bhoti Literature
- Bhot Puranic History
- Sanskrit Buddhist Philosophy
- Comparative Philosophy
- Sanskrit Literature
Note: Knowledge of Bhoti language is mandatory for all the above courses.
Qualification: 12th Pass for Bachelor courses. Graduation Degree for Acharya courses.
Last Date to Obtain Application Form: 7th March 2026
(From Office between 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM or from Institute website)
Entrance Test Date: 10th March 2026 (Tuesday)
Venue: University Campus, CIBS
Selected students will receive monthly stipend, free textbooks & notebooks,
free hostel accommodation and transport facility for day scholars on nominal charges.
