The 10th century wall paintings of Alchi Monastery of Ladakh is an unique fresco paintings in Himalayan which is a symbol of living Cultural heritage of Ladakh. These paintings was painted under the aspiration of the Great Translator Lotsawa Rinchen Zangpo or Ratna Bhadra.  He built three monasteries in one time in different places in Himalayan and all the artists were brought from Kashmir.
